Abstract
The author discusses emotion terms through the prism of interlingual and intralingual translation. The model of a sociological analysis of emotions as summarized by J. E. Stets and J. H. Turner for medieval texts has been tested. Although dictionaries influence users’ mentality, so the outcome can be qualified as identical as described in the dictionary and presented in the original, the chosen descriptive criteria will stimulate approaches in search of guidelines for further
evaluative interpretation and correlation of emotion terms.
