THE WEST-EASTERN LEXICO-TERMINOLOGICAL PARALLELISM IN THE LANGUAGE OF PUBLIC DISCIPLINES IN AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

The article notes that international terms are mostly of Greek and Latin origin, but some of them are of Eastern origin. It is proved that in the development of the scientific style in the Azerbaijani language, the West-Eastern scientific terminology played an important role. The principles of parallelism formation in the terminosphere of the Azerbaijani language are revealed, the structural-semantic, cognitive-gnoseological and cultural-stylistic mechanisms of these processes are traced. It is pointed out that the parallel use of concepts from Western and Eastern science is not an anomaly and not an accident, but a typological reality modeled as a functional system by the whole course of the historical development of the language of science as a social phenomenon.
