Abstract

The article describes the peculiarities of zoological assimilations usage in the novels “Nekuda” (“Nowhere”), “Na nozhah” (“At Daggers Drawn”) by N. S. Leskov and “Zhivaya dusha” (“Living Soul”), “V glushi” (“In the Wilderness”) by Marko Vovchok. Zoological assimilations amplify comic and satiric effect as well as help the authors chance to represent for pseudo-revolutionaries, pseudo-flappers and pseudo-liberals in grotesque, parodist and caricature way.
