INTONATION MEANS OF INTRIGUER’S SPEECH MASK

Abstract

The article deals with the approach to the mask as a speaker's communication strategy, which involves conscious and purposeful usage of somebody's communicative image. The main focus is on manipulation, intrigue, hidden speech influence on the recipient deliberately aimed by communicants-intriguers who pursue their goals by using thought-out plan of action. Intonation means: loudness, tempo, pause and pitch (variety of scales and nuclear tones) are perceived
as the most important forming factors of an intriguer’s mask, which is divided into two types: the hidden and open communication.
