Abstract
It is presented the analysis of the fairy tale written in verse “The Firebird” by N.М. Yazykov that includes not only the popular plot, but also rather typical system of personages: this fact is displayed on the comparing basis of the studied work of N.М. Yazykov and the fairy tale “The Horse with Hump” by P.P. Yershov. While the systems of main characters being compared, it is observed their easily recognizable descriptions and general functions presenting in both works of art.
The use of the fabulous motive of travelling is regarded as the special image-symbol of spiritual path.
