Abstract

The article examines the specificity of the media image of the regional edition. Particularly, features of the semantic and stylistic realization of the topic of the regional edition history reveal this specificity. The topic of the history of the city newspaper “Kuznetskiy rabochiy” (Novokuznetsk, Russia) is tied to the memorial and local historical function of the regional media discourse. Texts dedicated to the history of the city newspaper demonstrate emotional and expressive intensity. The empirical specification is an important stylistic device creating this intensity.
