Abstract
The article presents a research of the peculiarities of Modernistic floral symbolism in the works by Olha Kobylyans’ka and some of her contemporaries, viewed through the prism of folklore. There was shown that one of conceptual aspects of image making is the introduction of «flower», «plant» details into the paradigm of prose-lyrical narration marked with folklore (first of all, fairy-tale and song) intonations.
