ARGUMENTATION STRATEGY IN THE GENRE OF UNIVERSITY PROSPECTUS (A CASE STUDY OF PROSPECTUSES OF BRITISH UNIVERSITIES)

Abstract

The article presents the results of the analysis of the genre “university prospectus”, especially the communicativepragmatic aspect. In this article, the argumentation strategy and communication tactics of recommendation, quality guarantee and revealing benefit have been described and linguistic means of their realization have been investigated.
