Abstract
The article examines structural components of TV recaps in online media. The paper focuses on the distinction of the structural and communicative parts of TV recaps. It has been established that a concise or detailed summary of a plot is a key constituent of TV recaps. The main communicative strategies of presenting a summary have been analyzed. The article provides examples of a range of clichés used in TV recaps to structure the recap and mark the boundaries between
different structural elements.
