SOCIO-HISTORICAL CHRONOTOPE OF GEORGE SAND’S NOVELISTIC DILOGY: PHILOSOPHICAL ASPECT

Abstract

Socio-historical chronotope has been analysed as a component of the philosophical specificity of the time-space organization of George Sand’s novelistic dilogy “Consuelo” and “The Countess of Rudolstadt”. The research has been carried out on the basis of M. Bakhtin and N. Kopystianska’s statement regarding the chronotope of the literary work. The implementation of chronological and associative retrospectives has been analysed. The author has also specified and interpreted the correlation between historically localized layers, remote in time. The emphasis is placed on the fact that certainty and historicity of the retrospective time-space is to a significant degree contrasted with the perspective plan of the works.
