Abstract
The article deals with the process of transformation of the sacred myth about the impregnation of Hercules, the greatest hero of the antiquity, by Zeus (in the Roman version – by Jupiter). In the result of the study it has been established that in the processing of Plautus’ plot both Moliere and Giraudu expand and intellectualize the forms and means of comic, replacing burlesque forms of laughter with subtle humour, wit, hidden ridicule, while avoiding vaudevillian farcical scenes.
