Abstract
The article explores the historical aspects of the development and development of Chinese drama, as well as its relationship with folk art. The classical period of development of the Chinese drama of the twentieth century, the formation of prosaic genres, the means of visual and verbal, including the first national Chinese opera The Gray-haired Girl/白毛女, was studied.
The way and the dynamics of the content of the forms of the works of Chinese playwrights He Jing-chih /贺敬之 and Dean No /丁毅 in one of the textbooks in the history of Chinese dramaturgy of the twentieth century − “Gray-haired girl” /白毛女 were analysed.
