Abstract

The article analyses the main stanzaic forms used in Ukrainian poetry from 1990 to 2010. The research focuses upon the writings of leading Ukrainian poets, namely I. Adrusiak, O. Irvanets’, Y. Pozayak, I. Rymaruk and others. The author argues that regardless of considerable leaning towards nonstanzaic forms, Ukrainian poetry still uses a wide variety of traditional stanzaic forms, or their peculiar forms.
