Abstract
The article focuses on the topical problems of study of dramatic art of the late 20th – 21st c. as artistic – aesthetic phenomenon of transition. The author concentrates on various approaches and debatable issues as to identification of the modern drama in the paradigm of different types of creative work (realistic, postmodernist, modernist). Analysis of postmodernist strategies of classics recoding and various opinions of literary critics on the subject take particular place.
