Abstract
In the article there have been analyzed the word-building patterns of the composite words, that come into the lexical-semantic group “man” in the different periods of the development of the German language. The analysis involves such parts of speech as nouns and adjectives. It is pointed out the availability of the certain word-building patterns, suffixes and prefixes which were used in each period and which weren’t subjected to the essential changes in the next stages of
the German language development.
