Abstract
The article deals with the problem of the proper names funtioning in a literary work (on the example of insulopoetonyms in “The Chronicles of Narnia” by C. S. Lewis). Their linguistic and cultural features have been analyzed. The expressiveness of these poetonyms has been determined and their significance in the text has been defined.
