Abstract

Dialectical verbal forms of present tense found in the language of 15 lists of handwritten XVI–XVIIth centuries Didactic Gospels originating from the Carpathian region have been considered in the article. A number of special linguistic phenomena, which are still typical for the Carpathian dialects has been revealed. These are in particular: the preservation of archaic verbal forms (for example, forms with the lack of alternation [г], [к] and [ж], [ч], use of personal forms єм and суть of the verb быти etc.), as well as features that can be interpreted either as interlingual (intersdialectal) parallels, or as borrowings from neighboring Slavic languages (for example, forms with an ending -ме in the first person plural).
