Abstract
A polyparadigmatic character of modern linguistics implies usage of various methods of language system investigation including those developed in natural sciences. One of the most promising scientific theories is the theory of self-organizing complex systems (also called “synergetics”) with a wide repertoire of notions and categories aimed to help the researcher reveal new sides of phenomena under consideration. Considered through ha synergetic lens, a human language can be defined as an open, dynamic, non-linear self-organizing system with all its elements and subsystems closely interconnected and functioning in accordance with principles of synergetics. The article discusses the necessity of syntax studies in the mirror of the synergetic scientific paradigm. The synergetic analysis of the semantic and syntactic models of unreal condition-consequence sentences allows considering the clause of consequence as a certain bifurcation
zone verbalized in the communicative process.
