PROSPECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SPECTACULAR ART IN TRAGEDY “HAMLET” BY W. SHAKESPEARE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the tragedy “Hamlet”. The aim is to prove that a number of characters’ cues is a kind of technical plan and a creative project for the realization of separate scenes of the “future performance” or film, so it is not just a message about the events that took place behind the stage. Тhe author of the work comes to the conclusion that Shakespeare’s theatrical and aesthetic discoveries significantly determined the playwright’s time and
correspond mostly to the detailed development of the mise-en-scenes or detailed director’s comments that would become a standard in the theatrical practice (and soon in cinematography) only from the end of the 19th century.
