“ORDINARY STORY” ABOUT LOVE (THE SHORT STORY “DARK ALLEYS” BY IVAN BUNIN)

Abstract

The article presents a new character of the figurative system of the story “Dark alleys” by Ivan Bunin and its specific structural and compositional features, deals with the narrative signs of presentation. The study shows that the traditional antithesis of “hero – heroine” is not as straightforward as suggested by the researchers before. The article shows that the image of the central character absorbs more capacious philosophical potential. In the process of the study revealed the ambiguity of images as the main hero and main heroine, differentiated between significant details and stylistic markers that allows to identify deeper philosophical intentions of the writer.
