Abstract
The article deals with the mechanisms of allusion functioning in phraseology as a kind of intertextuality. The problems of decoding of phraseological units depending upon the degree of their deformation while translating belles-lettres texts are deals with. Definitions of allusion of allusions phraseological units and their sources functions in the text are analyzed.
