SYMBOLIC CONTENT OF THE CONCEPT FEAR IN THE DYSTOPIAN NOVEL „DIVERGENT” BY VERONICA ROTH

Abstract

The article deals with the symbolic content of the concept FEAR in the novel „Divergent” by Veronica Roth. On the basis of linguistic material the semantic content of conceptual component of the concept FEAR is found out, the conceptual metaphors objectifying the concept are revealed. In the article the authorial symbols that represent the concept of FEAR are described, its conceptual properties are revealed.
