Abstract
The article analyzes the semantic transformation of allusive units in artistic texts Ukrainian modern discourse. The criteria for semantic classification of allusion were determined. Allusion semantic classes are distinguished taking into consideration the processes of preservation and changing their semantic load. Allusive elements are considered as the means of text`s artistic reality.
