Abstract
The article deals with the study of the manifestation of quality category in compound adjectives on the example of modern German fiction. The semantics of compound adjectives with quality value defined by a combination of semantic and structural features of word-building stems in terms of paradigmatics. Compound words are categorized by common semantic and structural components (general or/and differentiating).
