Abstract
The article reviews specific features of English newspaper discourse as a context of concept instantiating. The cognitive-discursive analysis of one of the most popular concepts attracting permanent attention which is the concept CRISIS and its metaphors instantiated in the modern English newspaper discourse has been made.
