CORRELATIVE MODEL OF MODERNISTIC IRONY IN THE EARLY DRAMATIC AND POETIC WORKS BY VASYL PACHOVSKYI

Abstract

The central issue explored in this article is the ironic tendencies in the dramatic poems “The Dream of Ukrainian Night” and “The Sun of the Ruin” and poetical works by Vasyl Pachovskyi. The specificity of irony in Vasyl Pachovskyi’s early poetic works and its further transformation in his dramas, as well as the peculiarities of the ironic modeling of his
characters are investigated.
