Анотація
Стаття присвячена аналізу іконічних мовних знаків, що входять до номінативного простору MYSTERY. Матеріалом дослідження слугувала англомовна художня проза ХХ – ХХІ ст. Було виокремлено знаки, що базуються на перцептивній подібності репрезентамена й референта (мовчання, апосіопеза), структурній аналогії між ними (еліпсис, повтор) та подібності на концептуальному рівні (метафора).
